About Us

Dancers Box was founded in August 2006 by Sue Cox.

After her passing in April 2011 the company came under new management by her three daughters

Allison, Andrea and Victoria.

Over the years Dancers Box has an established an excellent reputation across Kent, allowing dancers the access to an unlimited variety of dance wear, shoes and accessories via our stores, website and at national dance conventions throughout the year.

We are proud stockists of Baiwu, Bloch, Capezio, So Danca, Dincwear, Tendu, Pointe & Flex Stationery Ltd and many more. We stock a variety of Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Character shoes.

We love to stay-up-to-date with all the latest season/collection of Leotards, Active-Wear from all the leading dance companies, we also stock and supply regulation uniforms for a majority of our local dance schools in the area. At Dancers Box we stock some of the most beautiful handcrafted gifts and accessories for all your blossoming dancer’s, perfect for Christmas, celebratory and birthday present ideas.

For many years Dancers Box has attended and showcased at the following national dance conventions:

Can You Dance? – April-June 2015-

Dancers Box UK were asked to represent Capezio in 2015, then following into the year 2018 we were asked to represent Bloch along with being ourselves Dancers Box at the National Dance Convention CYD? This gave opened up the opportunity to broaden our brand, and to explore the amazing talent from Kent to Edinburgh!

The company was founded and hosted by leading dancers and choreographers Matt Flint and Tom Shilcock.

Kent Dance Challenge – October 2015-

This event gives dancers and performers of all ages and abilities the experience to compete and perform in front of industry professionals.

This opportunity gave us Dancers Box the capability to showcase and sell our variety of alternative trend setting brands and styles we keep a stock of in-store and online.

Move It – March 2016-

This event runs over three consecutive days with over 25 thousand of dancers and visitors attending over the weekend, either taking classes from leading choreographers, getting career advice from college’s, celebrities and shopping around all the stands.

This was an opportunity to reach international customers and clientel.

It’s an event not to be missed!

Orpington Dance Festival – October 2015-

This event is a stage dancing festival for performers of all ages and a wide range of abilities.

Amateur dancers have the chance to perform in a friendly and supportive environment, with the constructive advice of a professional adjudicator.

Beckenham Dance Festival – October 2015-

This is one of the largest amateur competitive performing arts festivals in the South-East of England.

There are around 450 classes in music, dancing and speech and drama, with specialist adjudicators in all sections. As well as certificates and medals there are over 200 cups and trophies to be won.

The festival acts as a qualifying heat for the All-England Dance Competition.

Gravesham Dance Festival – May 2017-

This is one of the largest amateur competitive performing arts festivals in the South-East of England.

There are classes in dance and vocal with specialist adjudicators in all sections.

As well as certificates and medals there are over 80 cups and the festival acts as a qualifying heat for the All-England Dance Competition.

At Dancers Box we provide a friendly, professional pointe shoe fitting service.
